Gus Constantin

Founder, President, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Gus Constantin began innovating the investor services industry with the founding of Phoenix American, Inc. in 1972. He serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer for the parent corporation as well as for its six subsidiary corporations: Phoenix American Financial Services, Inc., Phoenix Leasing Portfolio Services, Inc., Phoenix Leasing, Inc., Phoenix SalesFocus Solutions, Inc., Phoenix Transfer, Inc., and Phoenix Cable, Inc.

Prior to founding Phoenix American, Mr. Constantin served as Director of Computer and Technical Equipment for DCL, Inc. (formerly Diebold Computer Leasing, Inc.), and as Vice President and General Manager of its subsidiary, DCL Capital Corporation. Prior to DCL, he served at Price Waterhouse for three years as a member of their Management Advisory Services Group. For two years prior to that, Mr. Constantin, along with Olin Mathieson, performed internal consulting for Mr. Mathieson’s operating divisions as members of their Management Engineering Group. Mr. Constantin also worked at IBM for several years as a data processing systems engineer.
Mr. Constantin received a B.S. degree in engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in management science from Columbia University.

Andrew Constantin

Senior Vice President of Operations

Andrew Constantin is the Senior Vice President of Operations and Owner of Phoenix American Financial Services. Mr. Constantin was a Founder and Senior Vice President of Marketing for PFI, a communications company that operated state-of-the-art, fiber-optic networks in 26 cities across the United States. The company was sold to WorldCom in 1997 for a very substantial gain.
Following PFI, Mr. Constantin founded Constantin Partners (CP), a seed-stage venture capital firm. CP was a successful venture fund that had notable exits including Tripwire Security and Bazaar Voice, which went public in 2011.

Mr. Constantin also served as an Advisor at Staenberg Venture Fund, II, actively consulting for communications companies. Mr. Constantin serves as a Member of Strategic Advisory Board of Flywheel Ventures. He served on the Board of Directors for Samba Holdings. He has been involved in numerous charities, including Amnesty International and the V Foundation Wine Celebration of which he is a founding member. He has been featured in the Red Herring Magazine.

Joseph Horgan

Senior Vice President

Joseph Horgan is the Senior Vice President of Phoenix American Financial Services, Inc. and a Director of both Phoenix American Financial Services, Inc. and PAFS Ireland Limited.
Mr. Horgan has been with the Phoenix American group of companies since 1998. He is responsible for overseeing the management of accounting, financial reporting, cash management, administration, and reporting to the boards of various aviation clients.

Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Horgan was an auditor with Price Waterhouse LLP. Mr. Horgan received a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from California State University, Chico, and is a certified public accountant.

Zane Doyle

Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, Business Development

Mr. Doyle is the Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Business Development for Phoenix American Financial Services. In his roles, he is responsible for analyzing and developing strategies and infrastructures to achieve operational objectives and financial goals, all while nurturing client and investor relations that ensure long-term fiscal viability.

Mr. Doyle has over 14 years of operations experience in the financial services industry, having partnered with internal and external stakeholders alike to develop enterprise-level solutions and optimize business processes to increase profitability and shareholder value. Before joining Phoenix, he served as Vice President of Client Services at Cole Capital and Executive Vice President of Operations for Everest Financial Advisors. Mr. Doyle holds a B.S. in economics and business from St. Mary’s College of California.

Samuel Petrecky

Vice President, Fund Accounting

Sam Petrecky is the Vice President of Fund Accounting at Phoenix American Financial Services, Inc. He manages the Phoenix American fund accounting group in support of its offering of fund accounting services to private equity, venture capital, and real estate funds.

Prior to joining Phoenix American, Mr. Petrecky worked with multiple fund accounting providers including Standish Management, Vista Equity Partners, Sungevity, Inc., and AIS Fund Administration. He worked most recently with Gen II Fund Services, managing daily operations and accounting functions for private equity fund clients. Mr. Petrecky received a B.A. degree in urban planning from the University at Albany and a master’s degree in business administration from Stetson University.

Matt Podolsky

Vice President, Sales

Matthew A. Podolsky is Vice President of Sales at Phoenix American Financial Services. Leveraging his breadth of experience in specialized and alternative investing, Mr. Podolsky has a track record of cultivating key relationships at Alternative Investment Sponsors, Private Equity Firms and Venture Capitalist across the country. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Podolsky was Vice President of Sales at Provasi Capital Partners where he crafted RIA and broker dealer relationships in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Podolsky has raised capital for Closed-end Funds, REITs, Oil and Gas Partnerships, Mutual Funds, Real Estate Partnerships,1031 Exchanges and more.

Prior to entering the securities space, Mr. Podolsky enjoyed a successful career in commercial real estate, which includes holding Vice President positions at both CB Richard Ellis, Inc. and Cushman & Wakefield of California, Inc. Mr. Podolsky earned a Bachelor of Science degree in regional development and urban planning from the University of Arizona. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Tony Olivo

Vice President, Sales

Tony Olivo is the Vice President of Sales for Phoenix American. He is responsible for identifying and leading new potential clients through the sales engagement process. Mr. Olivo has over 14 years of experience working within the alternative investment fund industry. In 2006 he joined Phoenix American in the investment operations department and quickly move up to a management role. Starting in 2010, Mr. Olivo took over the business development efforts for Phoenix American, helping to significantly expand Phoenix’s service offering and overall alternative investment fund client base.

Before rejoining Phoenix, he served as the Director of Business Development for PEF Services and lead the Western US expansion efforts for the firm. Mr. Olivo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Entrepreneurship from California State University Fresno.

Jeff Iverson

Vice President, Investor Relations

Mr. Iverson has been with Phoenix American for over 20 years and is responsible for managing the daily investment operations and client retention for several clients. In addition, he acts as the company’s primary representative for industry events and is a member of the Investment Program Association Operations Committee and the DTCC AIP Platform Committee.

Prior to joining Phoenix Companies, Mr. Iverson worked in the banking industry for Westamerica Bank and Bank of Marin. Mr. Iverson attended the College of Marin.

Ned Montenecourt

Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance & Risk Officer

Mr. Montenecourt, CRCP is Senior Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Phoenix American. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the firm’s risk and compliance framework as well as helping to hone the firm’s business strategy. He has vast experience designing, building, and implementing risk control programs at financial services entities ranging from startups to large public institutions. His expertise centers on systems integration, supervisory controls, process automation, regulatory training, regulatory and audit exam management, and operational risk.

Previously, Ned was the Chief Compliance Officer for BlackRock’s Distribution and Execution entities. Mr. Montenecourt has B.S. and B.A. degrees in finance and architecture from Lehigh University and is a graduate of the CRCP Executive Education Program in conjunction with FINRA from the University of Pennsylvania—The Wharton School Executive Program.

Andrew N. Gregson

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Andrew Gregson is the Vice President and CFO of Phoenix American Inc., Phoenix Leasing Portfolio Services, Inc. and several other Phoenix American companies. He has been with Phoenix American since 1998. Mr. Gregson manages the finance and treasury functions of Phoenix American and its related companies. His responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, compliance, financial reporting, and overseeing banking relationships, portfolio services, accounting, and cash management for the Phoenix American Companies.

From 1994 to 1998, Mr. Gregson was an auditor with Arthur Andersen. Mr. Gregson graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in economics and physics from Amherst College.

John McInerney

Managing Director, PAFS Ireland, LTD.

John McInerney is the Managing Director of Phoenix American’s Irish operations based in Shannon. Mr. McInerney has served the Phoenix in various roles since 2008, taking on increasing responsibilities within the fast-growing business and helping propel the company to the status of Premier Provider of Managing Agent Services to the aircraft asset-backed securities industry.
Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. McInerney worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dublin and Boston.
Mr. McInerney is a chartered accountant (FCA) and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a master’s degree in accounting from National University of Ireland, Galway.

Zac Cady

Head of Marketing

Zac Cady currently leads Marketing for Phoenix American Financial Services. Mr. Cady provides strategy and management for integrated digital marketing including demand generation, content marketing, SEO, branding and paid media. Prior to Phoenix, Mr. Cady has spent the majority of his career in financial services and technology — most recently in the institutional global payments space as the banking vertical lead for Product Marketing at Ripple. He also has a tenure in the digital banking space through his time at FIS. Mr. Cady has a Bachelors of Arts from Florida State University.

Kathleen Conte

Director of Application Development

Kathleen Conte has been with Phoenix American for over 20 years, and for 10 years she has been responsible for managing all investor services application development, client implementations, and system upgrades in architecture.
After several years working for the Phoenix Companies as an accounting systems administrator, Mrs. Conte joined the programming staff working on investor relations and leasing applications. As director of application development, she led the investor relations programming development team through the upgrade from a 4GL application to the state-of-the-art application the company presents today.
Mrs. Conte has a B.S. in business management and economics from Plymouth State College.
